ESL Activity: Word Smash

Hi everyone, in this post you will find an activity that can be used for reviewing vocabulary.

You will need a flyswatter (per team), the target vocabulary cards and flashcards, and tape.

-Instructions-
1- The teacher divides the class into teams and gives them a flyswatter. You have to paste some tape on the flyswatter.
2- After that, the teacher places the vocabulary cards scattered on the floor.
3- Once the students are seated around the cards, the teacher shows a flashcard (in case you do not have flashcards, you can say aloud the word).
4- When students watch the flashcard (or listen to the word) they have to 'smash' the correct card. The first one gets a point for his / her team.
