ESL Activity: Minefield
Hello bloggers, I hope you are fine. In this post you will find an activity that you can apply as a filler or to wrap-up a lesson. It is not necessary to have a specific topic or a grammar point in this game, however, you can always adapt it.
You will need small cones or paper balls for this game. You need to spread them all over the floor and make sure that your students can walk through them, but not so easily. Also you need something to cover students' eyes.
-Instructions-
1) Before the game begins, paste some tape on the floor
(2 lines). After that, the teacher asks students to form couples. You can also ask them to form two teams.
2) One student from each team should be blindfolded. This student has to be in the 'start' line. Another student in the opposite line.
3) When the teacher whistles or says 'go!', the student at the end should give directions to his / her partner, so he / she will not touch anything during the 'road'. If someone touches something is out of the game.
The game finishes when someone reaches the final line or if they all are out.
It is a really fun game. Try it in your classes.
