Hi bloggers, in this post you will find an activity which can be suited for reviewing large sets of vocabulary. For this activity you will need blank sheets and pencils.
-Instructions-
1) The teacher asks students to write the alphabet (top-down) in the left side of the sheet.
2) After that, the teacher sets the time (3-5 minutes) and provides the category of the game (food, cities, animals, etc).
3) Students have such amount of time to write one word, in each letter, that is related to the topic. For example, A- Alligator, B- Bird, C- Cat, D- Donkey, and so on (if the theme is 'animals') .
4) When the time reaches its limit, the teacher asks them to stop writing and make a circle in the middle of the classroom.
5) The teacher chooses one student to start the game by saying a word of the vocabulary; the student to the right continues by saying another word that starts with the last letter of the word that the previous student said. For instance, Spider, Rat, Turtle, Elephant, and so forth.
If a student does not mention an animal or repeats it, is out of the game. The winner is the one who survives until the end of the game.
