Hi bloggers, today I am going to write about a web 2.0 that simplifies the work of teachers who are into educational technology, its name is Edshelf.
This website is a directory of tons of academic and technological tools in a wide range of categories as well as subjects. For instance, in our field of language learning and teaching, we have tools such as Livemocha, Dictionary.com, Flashcards, Reading Trainer, and so forth.
As teachers, we can take advantage of it by recommending them to our students and by integrating them into our classes. In my experience, I recommended to my students a website called StudyBlue. This site gives them the chance of creating their own flashcards sets. Another good point is that it has an app for Smartphones and they can synchronize their content or even share it with other people.
I strongly recommend Edshelf because it facilitates the searching of technological tools for education and has them organized in categories, which is a great help for us. Moreover, there we can find tools not only for language teaching but for different academic purposes. Now, there are no excuses for saying 'I don't know how to use technology in my classroom'; Edshlef gives us the opportunity for looking for the correct tools, websites, and apps for each aspect in our teaching life. Create an account (it is FREE) and start finding your technological help for your classes.
